Depending on the breed of moth, some of them don't eat at all after they reach maturity. Most common house variety well feed on cloth while they're still larvae, then pupate and loose their ability to feed. Some backyard varieties will feed on nectar from flowers.
Honestly, I'm not sure what this type of moth depicted here would feed on, but I'll let you know if I ever get around to painting this one myself. It looks like a little cuty. : )
