I can relate with that feeling of being nearly broken by detail, especially when it's a time sensitive commision. But when you're done, and you step back to bask in the light, you can't help but feel like it was all worth it in the end.
My goodness, that texture on the dragon skin is glorious!

Thanks for the compliment!
I will say that thankfully my clients were patient. Time wasn't too much of an issue.
But that feeling of glad finality in the end is awesome, especially when it will be enjoyed by someone else.
