His village is a hunting village, so they obviously weren't accepting of his sudden decision to abandon hunting and pursue riding
The final straw was when someone caught him with the Velkhana, and he was forced to either escape or kiII his new monstie
Everyone is just casualty bonding with Elder Dragons in this AU lol
