Please, don't be too harsh on yourself! Your drawings now, look way better then my drawings from like 2 years ago. Like, WAY better.
Your art skills will grow as you do, so everyday draw something you want to draw. Find one of your favourite artists and draw something they did but in your style! Keep doodling and drawing everyday, and eventually you will have more followers then your friend.
Also 4th of July sucks balls i agree.
