i mainly struggle socially with my autism now, but i used to get sensory overloads all the time to where i had meltdowns in the cafeteria during elementary school. my misophonia was bad, but now it's mainly towards pen clicking and grating noises. it's weird how symptoms seem to develop and change as you grow up, as autism remains a fluid, everchanging condition. I'm very lucky to be verbal too, since i have to witness first hand little kids with autism screaming, which isn't their fault
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

i graduate aba therapy in 4 weeks and it sucks knowing kids have to deal with it every single day, the pain of not knowing how to express yourself like "normal" kids

@-alex_the_beast- my ********** are really patient with me but take no disrespect, they listen to my interests and correct me when i say something out of pocket
BUT my ********** sadly don't understand that i dont do well with multiple options for tasks despite needing it due to my ODD
we have this entire self mananged schedule with limited tasks where i choose where i want to do and it will often come with a defiant breakdown if i dont want to do any f the abov

i love seeing the kids run around and play too but it is so agitating to hear them screaming to where it often causes me to meltdown upon interaction

oppositional defiant disorder was something i only recently got diagnosed with but was suspected to have for a while as it was probably the reason i would act impulsively and do stuff despite knowing there will be a punishment

the worst part is my mom doesnt understand what it is AT ALL so she thinks its just me and not a condition that i have been struggling with

im one of the rare ODD cases as its persisted into my teenage years instead of remaining a childhood thing and might still affect me when im 18
