how does fictionkins even work like its a fictional character how do you think you are them

@channyloverslover that's a common misconception, i don't belive i AM or ever was the characters I kin, it just means that I find these characters relatable, or I see myself in them

Oh? Thank you for the clarification, because when I searched up the meaning of said "FictionKin" the meaning was apparently "A person who identifies and/or believes they were that character in their past life. It didn't make much sense to me so I suppose that's why

jut for context some people do believe they were the character at some point in a past life, through multiverse theory, or other means of explanation. They frequently, but not alwayd get memories of th past lives. this is being a spiritual fictionkin while what @FizzFilet described is being a physical fictionkin, no spiritual beliefs in it at all

@eulogistical ok but what if that person was born before that thing was even a concept at all? I see a lot of vivziepop fictionKins and I believe she only made her characters in 2014 or something. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, I'm not judging, just confused.

that isnt fictionkin, its KINNING a character. they are separate things. calling this fictionkin can be extremely offensive to ppl who are fictionkins, so pls correct this, TY ;)

@imbored_101 no i am actually a fictionkin, i get kinshifts and such, i just personally don't have a past-life connect with these characters, and not all fictkins do.
