YAYYAA
WICH WORDS/SENTENCE DO YOU WANNA KNOW?? :3

choco_

15 Jun, 2025, 1:13 pm

@_-redfoxy-_ instead of teaching words or sentences first, u should teach them different vowels and ways to use words, like masculine and feminine. ex: in spanish, when YOU want lets say a book, since you have a main subject(you) the otger words change, so want woule be quiero, and book is always masculine so the would be el, so it would say' yo quiero el libro, or quiero el libro. = i want the book

Aidre

15 Jun, 2025, 1:27 pm

@_-redfoxy-_ Hmm, maybe you can tell me some words for fruit, numbers, amounts ect. And like "I want [blank]' or like 'She likes [ ]'. :>

@Aidre
I think we should start with the pronuns first ^^

I = io
You = Tu
He = Lui
She = Lei
We = Noi
You = Voi
They = Loro

Then, in Italian adjectives are masculine and feminine, so

She is pretty = Lei è bellA
He is pretty = Lui è bellO
They (girls) are pretty= Loro sono bellE
They (at least 1 boy) = Loro sono bellI

Usually in Italian the adjective change like this

Do you wanna know some adjectives? :3

choco_

make sure to show them how each pronoun changes how words work and sound, ex: I went to the park - FUI al parque, WE went to the park - FUIMOS al parque.

2= Due
3= Tre
4= Quattro
5= Cinque
6= Sei
7= Sette
8= Otto
9= Nove
10= Dieci

@_-redfoxy-_ I know the gendered word thing, it's like french Le and La, and Spanish with La and El. But for some reason Italian being 'more original?' makes it harder. But I'll try!!

Aidre

16 Jun, 2025, 2:37 am

@maxwell_ I know that much thanks.

Aidre

16 Jun, 2025, 2:39 am

@_-rawr-_ Ohh, I almost went dos, tres, like Spanish ahahah.
The number one thing I need with language, is exposure to the words.
So parque... iono, or something.

Aidre

16 Jun, 2025, 2:41 am

See, I would of never known park is parque, see! I like learning words.
Like what would "I own a dog" be?
I think in spanish it's like Yo tengo el perro or something.

choco_

16 Jun, 2025, 3:19 am

@Aidre yo tengo el perro would be i own the dog, yo tengo un perro means i own a dog :3

_-redfoxy-_

16 Jun, 2025, 9:44 am

@Aidre in italian is "Io ho un cane"
I = io
own = ho
a = un
dog = cane

like for the adjectives, even a/an and the have the gender thing!

a/an:
masculine = uno
feminine = una
masculine that start w/ a vowel = un
feminine that start w/ a vowel = un'

the:
masculine = il/lo (it depends)
feminine = la
masculine plural = i/gli (it depends)
feminine plural = le
masculine/feminine singular that start with a vowel = l'

Aidre

16 Jun, 2025, 1:10 pm

@maxwell_ Yeah I wasn't sure if it was un, but right now I'm learning Italian!

Aidre

16 Jun, 2025, 1:11 pm

@_-redfoxy-_ I know about the gender thing, you can just tell me if a new word is or isn't. :sob:

Aidre

16 Jun, 2025, 1:13 pm

Oh shi I fogo un' and li'
the APOSTROPHE's :man_frowning:, now those uniue Italian stuff is harder.

But cool! Dog is cane!

Aidre

16 Jun, 2025, 1:14 pm

But I guess either way I hve to learn about the group nouns and everything... So unique* Italian stuff I need to learn. Nice that "un" is in Italian.

_-redfoxy-_

16 Jun, 2025, 1:28 pm

well, now we can learn the verb be I think! >:3

I am = io sono
you are = tu sei
he/she is = lui/lei è
we are = noi siamo
you are = voi siete
they are = loro sono

:warning: ATTENTION :warning:

in italian you can don't say the pronuns!

for example, you can say "tu sei bello", but you can also say "sei bello" (you are pretty"

_-redfoxy-_

16 Jun, 2025, 1:29 pm

and this count for all the verbes!

_-redfoxy-_

16 Jun, 2025, 1:29 pm

@Aidre

Aidre

16 Jun, 2025, 1:46 pm

Ohh, nice! So you never have to specify or gender the group words? They're all neutral 'they/them' words kind of?

_-redfoxy-_

16 Jun, 2025, 1:53 pm

@Aidre
er- no
we don't have to specify just the pronuns, but the adjectives, the articles and a lot of other things have ALWAYS the gender, unfortunatly -v-

Aidre

16 Jun, 2025, 3:12 pm

Okay so other way you meant, got it.
Okay so French, Spanish and now Italian all have everything gendered. :thumbsup: Italian is the only thing a mystery to me. I don't even know colours. What, azul? vert or brun or maroan? Just guesses.

_-redfoxy-_

16 Jun, 2025, 3:21 pm

@Aidre
Sorry but none of these are italian- :sob:
I will tell you!

red = rosso
orange = arancione
yellow = giallo
green = verde
blue = blu
light blue = azzurro/ciano
purple = viola
pink = rosa
white = bianco
black = nero
gray = grigio

dark = scuro
light = chiaro

ex: dark gray = grigio scuro
light gray = grigio chiaro

Oh, yes!
Usually adjectives go after the name and not before, like in English!

Aidre

17 Jun, 2025, 3:29 am

Ohh, those are so cool! Some of those are familiar to me!
