oi i made a tail out of yarn this is what it looks like. I F**ing love it!!!!!!!! so yesterday I finshed making it (btw i made it for cosplay/Furry stuff) and i put it on and then me and my family went to the movies and i was still wearing it and i was having a great time and when we were in line my step dad said it looked like a cat tail (btw my family dosent know ima Furry) and then i noded my head and then he said i should put it on the back instead of the side sense its a cat tail (coments)

well you should start slow like hinting that animals are cool, you like cosplaying, or if you could be any animal you would be (your theriotype/theriotypes). but if youjust want to be straight forward then instead of saying that your a furry just say that you like cosplaying or expressing your self with your ocs/fursonas hope this helps i wish i could help more with telling your parents that your a therian but i dont really know but if you just want to be straight forward then i would say that..

your a therian and then explain what a therian is such as: a therian is someone who idenifys as an animal in a non biological way due to behaviors, instincts, and/or urges and they know they are humans and dont do any weird stuff like eat kibble and stuff like that but they might do quadrobics (which is a sport) and/or wear gear to feel more conected to their theriotype btw not all of them do these things, therianopathy is just an identity.
