So earlier today, my ma let my older brother go to his friends house for a few hours. Whenever me or one of my brothers go out for a bit, they take the phone with them to communicate with our parents (more specifically, our ma). Also, my bro's friend's house has a pool (remember for later ;3). Later, on our way to my swim lessons, we pick up my older bro. I was sent to knock on the door. My bro emerges, carrying a towel, his swim trunks, our meda-quest, and the phone. (CONTINUED IN COMMENTS)

(CONTINUED) But, on closer inspection, he wasn't carrying the phone. Just the phone case. And, he was holding a strange container that we didn't send him with. In the car, my older bro said he had put the phone in the pocket of his swim trunks (an accident waiting to happen). Then, he jumped into the pool. It took him about 2 seconds to notice something bumping aginst his upper thigh. It took him another 2 seconds to realize that something was the phone, dripping with chlorinated, pool water.

He panicked, and stuffed the thing with rice. Now, the phone screen is covered with cracks and air bubbles as a results of previous falling out of pockets and hands, more specifically, my older brother's. So the water could have gotten under the screen, possibly breaking the phone permanently! It would take 24 hours to be useable again. I turned to my ma and simply asked, "Hey, Ma? If (my brother's name) breaks the phone permanently, can I get my own phone?"
