a example of a non traced post from someone who only traces could be number 1 on my drawing

sign 3: they get overly upset when you try to talk abt the fact that all their art is traced and definitely not from a sketchbook

sign 4: they use the tracing feature on things like vents or DNIs esp if the vent is abt them bleading out and dying or something if that were true they wouldn't take the time to find a drawing then take the time to trace it bcs they would be dead

also, ALWAYS look at the playback. if it's being traced, then it's obviously traced.

i really dislike tracers on this app. use the reference picture feature for references, their intended use, not to trace art people actually worked hard on.

sign five: multiple ppl sharing one acc but all there art is blatantly the same like example number 4 in my drawing not like a rp acc or anything and none of them have their own acc
sign five: if the drawing doesn't match what they are talking abt if it's something like number 2 in my drawing but their talking abt a new swimsuit there mom got them but like on number2 they have a tie a belt or stuff that just doesn't make sense thats a sign

the second sign five should be sign six**

sign seven: if they have stuff like sign five with multiple ppl with the same art but they are all dating different ppl

oh also! if a traced drawing has text, but it's different handwriting from their non-traced drawings, that's also a sign.

You can also reverse image search the traced photo to find and talk to the real artists, they can confirm if its them or if its traced. i recommend letting the artists know though so they can take care of it through the colorslive copyright system if they so choose to.

Tracing is okay in private but remember, Do not reupload traced art or claim it as your own unless you have permission to by the artist who drew it.

i dont trace but i use references from other peoples fanart from pinterest , is that ok ? i cant contact the og creators since the fanart is usually from instagram or twitter , which i dont have . i dont trace tho , ive never traced and claimed its mine or traced (if ure excluding my stupid pfps on my alt)

another important tip about someone who's tracing!! there's a glitch exclusively on the 3ds version that lets you remove the reference icon from your post even if you're using a ref (i will not describe it in detail so it won't be abused). there was someone on here i saw who did it all the time and went under most people's radars bc of it, they got really popular. they aren't on the website anymore and ofc this is 3ds exclusive, so... it's wacky to hack ur 3ds just to use colors for that purpose... but it's smth i thought i'd mention :sob:

so basically, if you know someone is mostly on 3ds and you suspect them to be tracing a lot, don't rule them out just bc they don't have a reference icon!! altho it'll def be way rarer than switch tracers djdjshsjd
