What's the book about??

M'kayyyy..

So the main character, Ella, lives in the kingdom of Crowne.

her father is one of the four nobles of the kingdom that help ensure the heir (the prince) is safe to become king when the current king dies

(thats important for later ig)

The story starts where she is going to the market to meet the new merchant

she finds a boy who introduces himself as the new merchant, Tom

he claims to have important news to share w/ her father, so they go to see him

she takes him to see her father, where Tom reveals that Ella is the 'Songweaver' (a hero who can use sound to their advantage but i still need to figure that out :smirk:)

her father is outraged by this and sends him out of their house. Ella is shaken inside bc no one knows about her ability to basically 'see ppls songs' Which reveals their intentions, emotions, and stuff

i feel like her abilities are smewhat based off of an Empaths from KOTLC ish

she is in her room when she finds a note in her pocket telling her to go to the Grove of Mysteries and then 'all will be revealed'

she obviously goes. :3

On her way, she spends a night in a canyon (cuz why not!) and is sneak attacked by rare creatures called rock spiders (so original ik) their bite consists of poison which slowly paralyzes the victim and the only known cure, glow moss, is as equally as rare, if not more

so ofc she gets bitten for plots' sake, then gets rescued by anothr random guy named Aaron

they tag team the long journey make it and are FINALLY at the Grove of Mysteries! There, they encounter a mercenary named Cody who (??) suspiciously looks A LOT like Tom!

Who reveals himself to be not only an alias known as Tom, But his real name isnt even Cody! (It's Fin)

he explains stuff, and then they figure out more stuff, go back to her house to find...
Her dad is crazy-cukoo-nutzy-bouncy-balls
He has a weird crown on his head and starts levitating stuff everywere. long story short, the break the crown, he's ok and turns out some random cloaked dude gave it to him, and the rest is fuzzy.

End of the book is where its a celebration!
Then a random cloaked dude goes to a pub, finds another cloaked dude, the main bad guy "The Hooded One" And says stuff like

"Its done." normal bad guy cliche

Thats basically it, sorry for the long summary :sweat_smile: And i am not lying when i say i already have plots for book 2 and 3 and i also thought of all of this in the car in 30 minutes

@Beargamer That sounds so interesting!! And I can totally relate to coming up with full series plots in like 10 minutes. I came up with the sequels for my main book while I was swimming for like twelve minutes and tossing around these colorful pool toy rings (the second book's called The Eternity Rings; the rings are how I got my idea).
And btw, do I smell a love triangle in your book (I'm assuming the characters are teens or something)?
