@sleepystrutter ah well i mean dni people who fetishize trans people. im not super familiar with fetishization of trans women but i know that in the case of trans men we're often put as a stereotypically feminine, submissive, girly partner in mlm ships, put in dresses, in the case of headcanoned tmasc characters in fanfiction contorted from canon personalities into a lesser version of himself, and if done by cis authors/artists is fetishization of trans people to fit a transphobic narrative.

@sleepystrutter Of course trans men can do all of that, if they relate to it, it makes them feel good, etc. im not policing the behavior of fellow trans guys. But when cis people do that they deny that other types of trans people exist, and often give off the impression that they view us as almost parodies of women, a version of them with he/him pronouns slapped on top, even if this isn't their meaning. Its complicated haha and i have strong views on it so i can rant for a bit

@sleepystrutter Not to sa that i have any issue with cis people having trans headcanons! Just that it too often ends up being a fetishization of who we really are. This mainly applies for adult content in the discussions of it but it can apply to sfw stuff as well, in that we aren't all femboys and sweet guys with no facial hair who love wearing dresses.
Sorry if that made no sense at all i can't explain stuff to save my life :sweat_smile:
