Ginger was born and raised in Canada by a cat and a snowy owl, respectively, until it was heard the force who was after the Chaos Rubies had invaded Earth. So Ginger and her Chao, Lumi, had to flee their home and hide out anywhere they could go.

Ginger has a crush on Blaze. She and Lumi-Chao see Sonic and Knuckles as mentors. They view Tails as a sibling. Their thoughts on Shadow are indifferent.
