I understand being extremely sentimental to certain OCs (Like the only OC of mine that I really draw on here, go me) May I ask how long and how you created this character when you have time to respond?

Also, I'm going to sound very dumb (I some how accomplished doing that very well) but, what is a UTAH? Is it like the characters' voice or something? :D

(I need to stop commenting, I feel like I'm spamming) But, she does deserve to be loved, also she reminds me of a sculpturer and artist's main character called YOKI, the artist is Yoyo Yeung, I actually own one of her premade designs, but I'm absolutely obsessed with her KENNETH FOX figures and drawings too, when you have time, I highly recommend looking at her works, she was actually one of my first inspirations to create art in the first place (well to actually draw more)

anyway, "post description" would be the right phrase here!! ^^ for xio, i made her almost seven years ago now, i wasn't super deep into the furry fandom when i made her (and mostly made her to have a fursona to match with my ex-bf... uuhhh. i would prefer not to talk abt that :broken_heart:) but i always thought the concept of it was cool, and liked various medias which had furry-adjacent characters (like sonic the hedgehog for example). i honestly don't remember my design process for creating xio well anymore, however i took her name directly from an old alias i used online ten years ago now, which was... well, xio... which was based off of a kingdom hearts character named "xion" lol :sob: i know i picked a bat bc my ex-bf picked a cat for his fursona, i wanted a cat initially but didnt wanna copy him so i just kinda poked around here on colors looking for fursona inspiration. [cont.]

eventually i found someone who had a bat fursona and decided to just poke around the bat tag on here for inspiration, rather than referencing an irl bat im pretty sure i just referenced other people's sonas, n just made smth simple that i could draw easily given i wasnt skilled at drawing furries lmao
so i pretty much just sat down and designed her in like, a couple days i think :p and since then her design honestly hasn't changed much at all, despite how simple her origins are i think i came up with smth that's worked well as it is for the most part hehe. in 2OI9 i switched fursonas to a bunny since my ex-bf also switched his fursona, and after that i didnt rlly draw xio for a while. then some.......... stuff happened.......... and xio was kinda ruined for me for a while due to the association w/ my ex but, ive been learning to love her again for her and not for him :'3

anyway, an UTAU is basically a virtual singer!! if you've heard of or seen #hatsunemiku , she's a vocaloid, [cont.]

and UTAU is basically a "make-your-own-vocaloid" :] they are synthesized voices (often called "voicebanks") that can be made to sing like real people do, and vocaloid/utau songs are an entire category of music that cover a wide range of genres!! its a great way to make songs with vocals if you either don't know how to sing, or don't want your voice out on the internet ^^ other voice synthesizers include "synthesizer v", "deep vocal", "neutrino" and more, but vocaloid and utau are the most well known. with utau, you can create your own singer via recording your (or someone else's) voice singing consonants and vowels, then using certain plugins to take these samples and create a voicebank from them :o
that was probably a lot of words djsjdhsjd, it can be a lil tricky to explain utau in short ^^" but yeah, i wanna make an utau with my own voice, and use xio to represent it! since most people create a character to use for their utau voicebanks. i would also love to make [cont]

an utau for rukya as well, but my voice is quite high pitched and squeaky sooo i'd probably need to edit my recordings to be lower pitched to get the tone i'd want for him lmao
if you're curious about this stuff, i would look into a custom version of utau called "OpenUTAU", the original utau program is super old and glitchy, but openutau is a new version of it someone made recently that comes with lotsa cool features :>

Yeah, I heard of Hasunu-blah-blah (Don't know how to spell) Miku, I wouldn't say that any of my OC's and my Fursona have a UTAU or anything like that. Except for one of my oldest characters TVP who has this voice that just clip of voice over's from TV shows. I think that nest how much this character has changed. :)
My fursona's original design was actually a lizard with spikes and wounds all over their back, 10 (Almost 11) years...

...Years later they turned out to be whatever the heck I have now :/ About the UTAU (Struggling not to say Utah) its kinda similar to those audiotues, and OH MY GOSH I do LOVE messing around with audiotune!!! :D Also, would you say that she (that bat, I forgot her name) was inspired by others? I don't know if I have any older characters inspired but anyone, mostly due to me not hanging around others during my childhood. :D

I'll totally look into the OpenUtau!!! I don't know I can run it or if it cost anything. For my Fursona, I never really give them a voice :/ But I'll feel like I'll have to heavily disort it like my photos I took (check your Discord, I sent some of my photography) Also, totally random :) You know any places or things that are good to store photos (I still don't have enough storage and I don't want to buy ICloud, AppldCloud, whatever the Cloud storage is called? :)
