If they respond to you first off, talk about what you're talking abt :3

If that ends up to a buncha emoji's, ask them a question to learn some more. Such as; "what are your hobbies?"
If that convo ends up on a deadline, then mention somethung funny or random. Such as: "My leopard gecko is a flyin squirrel fr :skull:" and then they'll most likely laugh and tell you smt funn of their own!
