A very happy 103rd birthday to David Oppenheim (1922 - 2007)

He was a clarinetist, producer and later Second Dean of the NY Tisch School of the Arts, as well as a lover and very close friend of Leonard Bernstein's. He worked with numerous well-known figures, such as Igor Stravinsky and Paul Simon, and produced various documenteries during his time at CBS.

I'm hoping that the Leonard Bernstein Office will put up a birthday post for him, but if not, I'll make 'em!
