uhhh i dont know i dont use one nibs been broke for years XD i think ive gotten use to know pressure control and when looking others art sometimes i think "mannn no pressure controls would have made this so much better"

i use a kids eyepad styles i got off amazon and it pretty comfy and doesn't scratch the screen unlike the sonar pen @Captain_64

This here! This is what I like to see. :D When you compare what you did here, to what you've drawn in the past, Where there details you didn't notice before that you'll remember nect time you draw an eye? If so, you are making tremendous strides as an artist. Keep it up!

Indeed. While I'd say that the potential quality of art has improved, the overall quality throughout the community has gone down a bit. It may have something to do with demo related accessability, and likely a few other variables, opening Colors up to more users, and becoming less niche, but I have a positive outlook on it, which is to say that in time, these new users may grow their talents over time and become more accustomed to making art with practice and experience.

lolll yeah i think theres 3 new problem
1: there are waaaaay too many artist that are super young ive seen 8-9 year olds on here like wut !? :skull:

2: there are more "cheat" tools i dont try to surgar coat things here lol lets be real tools like light dodge and transparent lock i consider "cheat tools" just because they allow you to do things faster (and better) then you (and your skill level) would normally -

be able to do dont get me wrong i love this tool there a nice set of crutches when i need to add a little :sparkles: shine :sparkles: to my paintings (i mean i literally made a joke that im marrying light dodge XD :skull:) but i think these tool should be used in moderation as to not hinder the learning aspect of drawing [which actually now that i think about im gonna change transparent lock to the final boss PHOTO REFERENCE]

3:PHOTO REFERENCE I would say this was probably a problem back on colors3d aswell but now being able to upload a clean image straight from an iphone it never been easier and as 3ds users went down so did the problem of just directly tracing you fav anime characters or whatever but the reintroducing of this features has revived this trend lol XD i dont care if you trace a meme here or there but there are now so many users who are simply tracers and it

- starting to get a bit disappointing like i want yall to improve your art from hard work not just trace or draw over bases (which im also not a fan of it make for seeing the same art over and over because people keep remixing it XP)

also i definitely agree @The_Adjudicator we are seeing lots more demo users i actually had a discussion with one annnnd i do not think they cared for my opinion oop 0-o ~akWaRd~ sorry to the user i had the discussion with X[ !!

That's quite the take you have there. Some of it is a little hot, but I'm not inclined to disagree.

Regarding the tools; The more I use them, the more I wish I had these tools on Colors 3D, the lighten tool in particular. Being able to duplicate and move/resize/rotate a piece with the scissors tool is very handy. And transparency lock just saves a heck-of-a-lot of effort when it comes to shading. We used to have to shade with the soft brush, then erase the edges clean again.

As for the photo reference tool, I agree that tracing is a bit lazy, but it does have its uses, and unfortunately most users here haven't put it to good use yet. I personally wish we had an option to set the photo reference as a mini window that we could move around and hide as needed. I usally use references from a separate screen like my PC monitor or Smart Phone device. Having the reference on the same screen would just be more efficient.

@tall73 its in the layers menu the should be a button called layer mods push that and there it is it makes so what ever you drew on the layer before is locked allowig to color JUST what you drew not going ouside of the lines for example : tinting line art !

oof definitley agree on wishing these tools had been added sooner/been on the 3ds there is a certain thrill to having so many tools to your disposal XD @The_Adjudicator although it shocked me i even reliked some picks i had liked when i first got on colors becouse its trully remarkable what people could do with any of these new tools at all !!! (ayyyy including you! :) )
