I used Rey Dau armor with white and black pigments.
I've been using Switchaxe and Heavy Bowgun a lot in this game. I would like to get used to all the weapons, but Capcom changed the Insect Glaive a lot, and I need to get used to it again.

@The_Adjudicator Sweet fashion. Mine is just a play on GoreMagala with the bone helmet. I love that the guardian armor glows like the GM sword and shield.

Ah that new monster huh. Ya i keep seeing meme comparing old gen and new gen, but not about the weapon mechanic. Just like how they remove small unnecessary features like paint ball for tracking, broken pickaxe, gathering items one by one, etc that makes the game feel more alive. but i think it's not that bad since they improve the graphic and cool moves and more easier gameplay for new players.

Fashion hunting is not my strong suit. As much as I like a good looking outfit, changing pigments tends to be the only thing I can do. I have been theory crafting layered armor sets for potential cosplay though. For example, I want to see if I can recreate a character from Fire Emblem: Engage. As memeable as that game's characters are, you gotta admit, some of them look real good.

I really hope you get a chance to play MH Wilds some day. It's not quite a finished product yet, in fact there's a lot of missing feature (some of which will be added in title update 1), but even as is, It's a very solid game.

The main story for Wilds is basically just the tutorial. The real game begins at high rank after the credits roll.
I have indeed been enjoying the game, and look forward to the new content rolling in wth the title updates. : )

To be fair, there are a few features of old school Monster Hunter that I miss. Believe it or not, I wish some of thefrustrating things like breakable pickaxes and capture nets would be brought back. Having to manage resources, and track the monsters by knowing their habit was an immersive feature that the streamlined gameplay has lost.

I also miss the days of free online play like wih 3DS. Steam is still free for online play, but a good PC is very expensive.

@The_Adjudicator I'm not crazy good at it myself. FOX HOWEVER!!!! I have to complain enough to get him to STOP making new fashions. And the rest of our group is just as bad.

Did they eliminate all the resource gathering and managing?
Is it more like the old arena battles?
I always thought they should just release a massive arena only game for those who don't like resource gatheriing, tracking ,etc, and just wan the action. You could still make your gear from monster parts, buy necessary items, etc. So not the pre-designed loadout, but more the take what you want into the arena type fight.
I think my son has the game, I may have to check it out.

Let's see..
Firstly, it might take some time for it to -click-. By that I mean if you keep playing, you'll come to a point when it'll start to all make sense.

secondly, try out all the different weapons in the training room and find out which one feels best for you. My personal favorites are Switchaxe, Heavy Bowgun, and Lance, with lance being the most beginner friendly of the three.

Lastly, Gaijin Hunter and Rurikhan on Youtube have great beginner tutorials on their channels.

That's how I felt when I first stared using Colors3D and compared myself to the best artists around then. I still feel like the best of the best then are better than me now.
@Acchan for example, has been around much longer than I have, and is still one of my inspirations to keep trying and keep getting better.
