they are both consenting (assuming they are) adults in the similar age groups (early middle-agedness and late middle-agedness) i'd say it's okay-ish.

if they met while quite far into their adulthood, its fine. i think generally a good cut-off point for big age gaps like that is IF THEY MET while the youngest person was barely around the twenties (so I9-2I) and if the eldest person was approaching thirty (28-3O). even then its not really illegal, its just... weird and uncomfortable. most normal thirty year olds arent looking to date someone barely exiting college. however, i'd say if both people have a large age gap but both met above twenty-five (sorry my numbers censor im typing on three-ds) then its not as bad since that is typically when most of the brain has finished developing. its generally treated on a case-by-case basis sorta thing, i'd say in this specific instance it's fine. hell my own mom and dad have a sorta large age gap but they're super happy and healthy lol
