The three of them lived in a crappy little apartment together.

They were on the run from Tempest labs, an illegal research organization that Atlas and Alice worked for.

The lab created Skin, a strange facelss creature. They were designed to test self regenerating cells but for a reason still unknown Skin gained telepathy, the ability to see with other people's senses and speak into their minds.

They were going to destroy Skin, so Atlas and Alice broke them out.
