I wonder what others do, but I know I'd need at least a year and a half more. I've only designed like 42 charcters-not even half.--Let alone, draw their 'full' portrait.

It's been v. stressful on other platforms. Not being able to find anyone. Not getting a single comment on my very crucial AF WIP [Making me almost lose hope] that I posted everywhere... It's been rough.
Just wish I had more friends like you.

But yeah... your praises and my unending enthusiasm is the only thing really pushing me forward, as so many will just swat away what art I make. AF was an opportunity to draw cute oc's... but it's been so hard finding them.

@Aidre It wasn't intentional that way, she was replying to both me and you. This is her first time participating artifight as well and I wanted to tag other artists so if you guys were interested to art trade ^w^

What I mean by 'prepping', is drawing other ppl's ocs before the event bc i didnt have a lot of time to draw during July. Did you post your character on artfight ? I'll love to see them ! ^^ Not many comment on mine either, I understand the feeling. Usually I will get comments (cont.)

If I were to draw someone's oc and tag them. Most ppl are active only during the event. I only had one painting I made for someone for them to not reply T～T

I'm sorry to hear that, just know that I am always here to support you and your artwork. Before I started drawing again, I didn't hav much engagement in my artworks and it can be discouraging. Just know that your paintings is amazing and keep pursuing to do what makes you happy.

I see... yeah it's sucky that people don't seem to engage with it outside of the time it's on, which is why I created a sub called #TeamArtFight! To allow people to talk about it all year round! But yeah I meant people don't comment on here or social media enough for the posts I made on it, I didn't mean on the site itself.

I'm legit going to be making SO Many paintings, so I would not be able to react. Hence my prepping [being looking for characters like] now, but I honestly envy a situation like that, where I don't get bothered on AF and move on-in fact, ART FIGHT is the only time people seem to talk to me, on it. T-T .

And when I mentioned that in Discord, they said you're "not allowed" to refuse people talking to you?? Well fine, if only X, Da, Bluesky and all those other socials were as noticed. But of course, when I asked there, nobody answers my burning art question. So I probably just won't have any characters on AF at all at this time. Seeing as nobody helped and I gained unwanted attraction.+I'm seriously in a creatuve slump, I can't come up with any oc's!!

But yeah! It's discouraging having no one to talk with, but I'm glad you're here. Thanks :D

I don't really understand what they meant on discord by you're not allowed to refuse ppl talking to you. Sorry just trying to understand what they mean by that. I'm sorry to hear that, that is super frustrating. T0T I've noticed what helps on having more engagement is to placing down comments on other ppl's posts and following more artists. I would also try to find artists w similar interests as yours, like anime shows or original character/illustration developments.

However, I only have two socials but I hardly go on them just bc I don't have much time to run both accounts >^< I don't have much engagement with mine either other than on colors. Colors has always been my main one here, I've thought abt moving but never got around to it. I wish I can give better advices w these sort of things x'0

Ah,, when I meant on Discord, I mentioned I made an acocunt and just kept getting followed or a comment or two. Especially when I asked in my description for people not to do that. I don't like the idea of people following me with no content to offer. It also gave me the impression they followed only because they wanted me to draw for them. But beside that, yeah, it's a paradox!
When I comment on someone's stuff, it's because I found them! But I don't always meet every artists I'd like to follow. So I was hoping to put out a notice for people I wouldn't of met with my efforts anyway! but yeahhh it's been time-constraining. I'm just trying to mention my AF participation when I can now.

But yeah if you can find other artists who draw with similair interests :pray: I'd love that! :suite_heart:

It's fine if you don't run anywhere else either! It is hard managing all of them. I like Colors the most too, but for advice, I've heard making a new account helps when things aren't progressing well. Well I made a second AF account to counteract the first's problems... but yeah XD
