Ross is a tragic and deeply human character. His love for his daughter Neo is absolute, but that very love forces him to make the greatest sacrifice a father can: to keep her away from him forever.
He is a man consumed by guilt, loss, and duty, trapped in an existence where his only reason to go on is to protect someone who will never acknowledge him.
What makes Ross so interesting is that he is not a hero in the traditional sense: he does not seek glory or redemption; his struggle is silent, invisible. His inner battle is based on the paradox of wanting to be close to his daughter while, at the same time, having to remain in the shadows to prevent her own past from finding her. This sacrifice makes him an almost mythical figure, where his pain and guilt transform into unwavering determination. Despite his suffering, Ross embodies the ideal of sacrificial love, which makes him as human as he is admirable.
This makes him a profoundly moving character—epic in his suffering and almost ghostly in his own story. He is a man who is alive… but deep down, he has already died.

Wow...
He has such a sad story and is so well developed, he seems like such a calm, wise person.
