Thanks for commenting on my wee work. I live in a very lush and beautiful place, more parks, trees, water, old forests, paths, mountains than anything else really. This is another incredible piece of yours. Easy to say your forte is landscapes that are very realistic and beautiful. Amazing. Keep painting, you have a great gift and obviously a great love for art.

Thank you so much! I'm embarrassed to say that I started this in July '12 and finished in September - with other art (and lots of MarioKart in-between.) I hope to post a couple new ones soon (April I hope) - I wish I could finish them faster, but I love detail. As for how many hours - I guess future post will give you an idea when the update comes - if my work doesn't break the timer. : )

:) never be embarrassed by the amount of time used to produce brilliance. I also play a lot of games, and my art suffers. I write and work and read and lol. Mario Kart lol, I have 7 on my 3DS, love it, love too many games. I look forward to your next wonderful art adventure that you share here. I have you bookmarked so I don't loose you in all the press-plays, text, and other artistic nonsenses.

Hi 'madwurmz'! This is my 2nd or 3rd attempt at this - it's based on an oil painting of mine as well as some reference photos (it's all freehand though). I tried using the whole sceen, but I seem to have a 'thing' for this elongated format (the dimensions of the oil were similar).

this is so amazing and kudos on putting so much time into your work... you can see by some of my art that I lack a bit of patience but yours is so perfect and you can really tell how much you've put into it

Thanks for your comment :) The painting is awesome and the bars make it feel like a digital image or movie scene although now you explain that is unintentional. They inspire to use them in some create 3d way, like maybe the birds can fly out of the frame on the black bars.. Looking forward to more of your pix!

This is amazing! Everything looks so real! I love how the geese are flying in fornation, and all the colors of the city. The 3D effect is also top notch. Incredible piece of work! I just can't say enough!
