Im someone who researched and been a few of these things for 4 years and believed i was 1 of them for 3!

But..Whats the difference?

Therian :
Someone who identifies AS an animal and believes they have the spirit of one. They also connect to animals and feel as if thy are one. Some even believe they had a past life as one! This is not a choice!
Furry :
A term for someone who dresses up

i'm a therian, and i HÁTE all the misconceptions spreading around... i was on an anti-*the word i Can't mention on this* chat once, and something came up, and i mentioned how I'm a therian. well, this one person, (who i believe was furry, so You'd think they would be in the know at least a little bit) after i explained what therian gear was to them, said something along the lines of 'oh! well as long as u don't húrt or people, we can be friends!' they thought therians HÚRT people. HOW-
