It's a little difficult to explain
but i'll try

So a Mennonite is like a very traditional Christian?
We follow the Bible very accordingly, and we dress modestly (not modernly)

Women usually only wear dresses and wear head coverings when they're married or babtized

My church is pretty against piercings, tattoos, make-up, jewelry, modern music, etc. (sadly)

But like, I still wear jeans and bracelets

Basically a modest and and strictly religious group of ppl

Honestly I don't act very much like a Mennonite

Idk if I should feel bad abt it

But I'm still a Christian obviously

Wearing more modern clothing and jewelry doesn't not make me a Christian

My mom doesn't mind me wearing more modern clothes tho, apparently it's just abt keeping tradition

As long as I wear a head covering when I'm married (which I plan to do) she doesn't care

But I don't wanna walk around like I'm constantly prepared for funeral :sob: (that's basically how Mennonites dress)
