Really hard to stay positive about my work when no one around me gives me any feedback about MY work.
"It's a cat?" "It looks like a dog."
"Why don't you ever draw people?"
"It's nice I guess.........."
"Why is it always cats and dragons with you?" "Draw something else."
"I understand you just spent 3 hours on it but I wanted it to look more like this (insert Pintrest image of chicken drawing here)" "Just nevermind i don't want it anymore."
Yeah.........sorry I'll get over it. I usually do.

I'm not very good with words on comforting people, I often just give advice but tbh your art is amazing, I really love your artstyle I find it unique and beautiful. If you want to draw cats, draw cats, don't bother to think of other peoples opinions, it's your art they shouldn't force you to draw something you don't want to draw. It could be a bit difficult to ignore those comments but really just think how it's your art not theirs, if they bicker abt your art it's their problem not yours, okki?

You have clearly been in a toxic environment when it comes to your art because nobody should say those things.
Your work is perfect, I look up to you for inspiration! You are what I strive to become with your art talent!!

Also, theres nothing wrong with only drawing certain things! I almost never draw anything but horses and dragons on paper! :laughing:
If thats what you enjoy drawing then draw it! :nail_care:

@ZELTIK- My family just really doesn't get me much. Love them but they never really know what to say about my art. They'll defend me against a old style professor but then say this stuff right after. I despise drawing humans because They're nothing but hateful lying things that are usually all the same. Animals are natural and real and they're all so different and beautiful. College only wanted me drawing people and I hated it. FÚCK getting an art degree cus its useless anyway.

Sorry I'll get over it eventually I just need to be dramatic for a while.

I feel like your one of those TOP TEIR artists that I should try not to bother!

@ZELTIK- You're fine hun. And I'm nowhere near top tier. There's stuff drawn by people in this community that leave me shell shocked thinking I'm looking at a photo. I will admit to having self esteem issues with my art. I try to say something encouraging around here as much as possible. I'm sure I've sounded like some old lady creep to a few but i'm just trying to be cheerful. Even my bad days build up on me eventually.

it doesnt matter if you dont draw people often, because thats part of your style
the way you draw animals is amazing and i love your artstyle
you put so much effort into your art, its amazing
