Sorry, im a dancer myself and have been for 7 years. I love contemporary and so making my own choreo for contemporary is my fave thing like ever!!!!

@bumblebee54 i would do a mix of both have moments in the dance that mirror what the lyrics say and also match the tempo thats important. Also speed changes and solos have moments that might be slower than others and then parts where each person has a solo

@bumblebee54 i think with star gazing the chorus might be hard to choreograph to so i would use moves in cannon and use the whole of the space you have with leaps etc. Also floor work makes the piece 1000 times better

@bumblebee54 floorwork is moves you do on the floor so like fish flops and rolls and half moons and floor leaps etc

moments where you connect with the other dancers are important too

but again instagram reels, pinterest and yt have good ideas for moves, obvs i cant tell you any combos cause that would be difficult to do over switch so yeah

look at past competition dances those are good for story lines lifts and partner work etc. Only thing about those is they use a lot of leg tricks and turns so its quite advanced technique stuff

@bumblebee54 you would have to do some acting so like youre all close together in the middle of the stage and then more dancing happens with the choreo you choose. Then a moment in the middle where the person being left out doesnt feel heard and realises whats happening. Then at the end the frriend being forgotten is on on side of the stage when the others are on the other and you both have your backs to eachother
