I grew up on Atari originally, then the 8-bit NES, but I did have a Genesis, and my friend had a Super NES we played all the time. Fun memories, including Sonic!

I think I spent about one hour working on the eye, and about 3 hours on everything else. I traced an outline on the details from a screencapture, so I can't take credit there.

I know right? I usually take more time on things like this. But this was a simple project compared to some other things I like to draw.

My favorite go-to answer for how I draw so good is to say: Magic and skittles, but never both at the same time.

In all honesty though, I took various art classes throughout Jr High and High School. That's one great way to get a kick start. I've also been doodling for as long as I can remember. Lastly, since I:ve been using ColorsLive, I've studied and learned from my favorite artists. For example @/Techno-Bits was my primary inspiration here.

In a manor of speaking, yes, but it's a repainted version of a screen capture taken from the movie. I think it is fair to give the majority of the credit to the art team that developed the CGI in the movie.
