Here we are, living in the year 2025, and we still don't have flying cars made availabe to the public.
I suppose there have been successful prototypes of flying/hiverin vehicles, but those dang aviation/traffic laws be really complicating things.
Though there may be some danger involved in riding a speeder bike through a dense forest. I don't know what the Empire was thinking .
