Thank you for the encouraging feedback. Some paintings seem to take forever and not turn out as well as hoped, and some just come together quickly. This was fortunately one of the latter!

Well except there were three islands, no bird, I changed aspects of the sunset....sunrise (for the challenge).... etc. But otherwise.
I am assuming the original was a sunset, since you don't usually get up early enough for sunrises.

Well technically, this was drawn on a Moto G Android phone, which is similar in some ways to the old 3ds software, and has more limited tools.
Then I uploaded to the PC version, which is similar to the switch just to adjust levels.

But the technique is not much different than other digital painting, just with a small screen.
