I cmpletely understand these concerns. I've been here for so long now that almost everyone I knew at first is all grown up and moved on. I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that I'm old. I practically walk a razor's edge here now with the age disparity, and all the DNI egg-shells I have to tip-toe around everywhere (if that lingo makes sense to you).

I appreciate that. Unfortunately, there really are "predators" out there on the internet looking for "easy prey". And younger users tend to be seen as "easy".

In all honesty, the sad thing about DNI is that it only works on honest people. What's going to stop a dishonest person from pretending to be something they're not?

For the most part, just never, and I mean -NEVER- share personal or private info with anyone you don't absolutely trust, and you'll do just fine.

Oh right, one more thing regarding the sharing of personal info online:
Even if you share something like that to a trusted individual, unless it's shared on a private and encrypted message system, it's still possible for strangers to peak at it.
One of the reasons why you'll see a lot of hacker accusations here is because someone shared their password with someone they trusted, and either that individual trolled them, or some unknown third person found the comment with the password.
