Yes, certainly more persistence than consistency on tiis one. I had started it some time ago, and abandoned it about 3 times then decided to finish it anyway. Then I added tinted color.
If nothing else it was good to get me thinking aboit painting again.
Nice! The workflow is also interesting, adding color afterward. It’s called grisaille, which translates to "grayness" from the old word gris, in Dutch gray is grijs :D
Yes, you see it more commonly in watercolor. But I use it sometimes when tinting photos in digital. Of course, it is easier with blend modes, but still works on Android with a thin layer.
My first grisaille painting in my gallery is the third that is still visible: #grisaelle
