Poor Geeta gets a lot of backlash for being a "boring and easy to beat" champion... But I think she's really cool! I used to think the same about her until I've seen fanart for her and more info about her surface in the DLC/anime... And her concept art is really neat, too! They even fixed her team in the DLC, making her more challenging to defeat.

I'd like to get Pretendo for my 3DS, but I haven't really gotten around to it. I need to get my butt in gear, lol. So, for the time being, I'm drawing on the Switch. I think I'm getting more used to it by now, but we'll see... But once I get pretendo, I'll let you have my friend code! :D

I'm a fan of any show of quality art. I might be tooting a horn here, but I like to think that I can see the passion other artists have and put into their handiwork, regardless of type or quality. I like to see that, and share my thoughts on the matter.

i had left for about 3 months after the 3ds shutdown, but somehow i got pretendo working so ive been back on w/ my new 2ds xl ^O^

Greeta seems cool! i really like her design/outfit. again, havent played the games, but thats kinda cool that her battle difficulty was upped in the DLC!

i still play though all the 3ds pokemon games. >W<
i honestly think Diantha was probs weaker. like 4 of her team members had the same weaknesses .-.

@-Shine- So, you don't play any of the Switch Pokemon games at all? Only the 3ds titles?

Diantha is probably my least favorite champion... She was easy to defeat and he personality was lackluster, in my opinion.

Right now, it's not too hard to draw on the Switch... I think I just needed time away to adjust? Like, my brain was stuck in "3ds" mode and I needed to shift gears... It was trying to operate in a way it was familiar with, on a more pixelated screen... That's my theory, anyway. For now.

i have played Violet a LITTLE bit but i was still at poka path, so that just shows how much i played lol
(found a shiny turantula in there so that was fun >w<) but this was proboly early last year?

its been so long. also my sis bought herself a LoZ switch so our regular swich we had was given to my other sister as a moving out gift back in August.
idk if my sis moved my profile to the zelda one, so i might even have to make another profile o-o

and yeah.. i didnt really like diantha ether. idk her personality was kinda boring lol

but ive seen my sis play Sheild and Violet abit, so i do know some of the games ^^
also ive searched up some YT videos to see more of them.
so im not intirely clueless XP

@-Shine- Oh, wow. Yeah, that's at the beginning of the game. It's too bad you couldn't keep the shiny since your switch was given away... Turantula is such a good shiny.

Violet is pretty good game, despite its many glitches (although I've only experienced a few myself...) Great region, great characters, and the story's not too shabby. Better than the last three generations, in my opinion.

my sis thinks violet had the pretty much best story out of all the pokemon games, epecicaly w/ DLC added
tho she hasnt beat all the DS/3DS games from what i understand.

i honestly really enjoyed black/white/2's story.

X and Y story was pretty good!

ORAS was meh, they just bareley expanded on XY story.

SM/USUM i mostly just liked going throught the ultra wormhole minigame lol

i heard violet has a quite a good story tho. maybe one day ill be able to play again and like, actually reach the school LOL

@-Shine- Black/White/2 had the best story in any Pokemon game, hands down. It also had some of the best trainers, too. And I never liked the trainers as much since then until Scarlet/Violet.

No big complaints on X/Y. I just wish we got a Z version too. But! We are getting a Legends Z-A next year, so I'm pretty hyped about that!

SM/USUM is my least favorite generation of Pokemon. I have many problems with it, but I'll spare you the finer details. My biggest complaint is the region itself. I hate how cramped and linear it feels. It's based on Hawaii, so it should feel more organic, but it just feels unnatural with how straight-pathway it is... I also really didn't like the rotom dex; it was annoying. I guess it's fine for somebody's first Pokemon game, but as someone who's been playing the series a long time, it felt like it held my hand too much, like I was a kid. Which sucks because I like to TRY to imagine the MC as an adult, without the game constantly reminding me that I'm playing as a child.

ORAS is my second favorite Pokemon game of all time. But I do have to wonder if it's because of nostalgic reasons because Sapphire was my first mainline Pokemon game ever.

Gosh! I talk too much. Hats off to you if you read that far.

But yeah! You can fight the gym leaders in any order in SV... Though, the problem is, they're not level-scaled, so you might be facing a level 40 team against your level 10 Pokemon, haha.

And, yup! Those were all gen 9 Pokemon, except for Dragapolt, which is gen 8.

My favorite gen 9 Pokemon would have to be Clodsire. He's so derpy and cute! Which is perfect because it's Rika's ace, who you already know is my favorite trainer, lol. XD

i liked oras too, but not so much the story. im actually playing a rom hack of AS right now called Sinking Sapphire. basicly the same games, just a higher difficulty and more pokemon avalible on routes. its neat!

i totally get the hand holding. like, im 25, so it kinda irks me that games assume everone is a kid playing. i know all the protaganists ig and all under fourteen but still..

ive been playing a TON of pokemon GBA rom hacks on my modded 2ds as well
its SO cool what people can do!!

Gen eight/nine mons in gen one/two and three, pokemon following behind you, more story stuff and amazing QoL features... too much to name!
i have this SWSH demake for gba called Sword and Sheild Ultamite and its apprenty exactly like the switch ones, just in gba graphics!
i picked Sobble, soft reseted for a girl to name it Shinobi (female secret agent/spys in japan) since Intelion is a undercover spy. ^^
So i do know most gen 8/9 mons. ;D
just got to the wild area!

ive ALMOST memorized every pokemons shiny.
i dont know a few from gen 8/9 still, but im almost there.

funny how i never remember what i did last week but i can remember every single pokemon and their shiny colors XP

my first was pokemon pearl.
tho platnium remains supreme over all gen four, including the remakes.
brilliant and shining were the ONLY pokemon games my fam has skipped compleatly.
the fact that they remaid diamond/pearl and not platinum was the first mistake of many. :/
we dont talk about them in our house. LOL

Legends Arceus was cool.
but the controls were weird! every time i tryed to play, i had to google how to thow pokeballs and such X(

good, mainly into composeing music but art is still one of my skills. my art has gotten better sence ive been gone but i can't really protray it on colors

@-Shine- Ahh, yes, rom hacks are fun! Although I don't play very much of them. But I agree that a lot of them are pretty cool and creative. I like to play Pokemon escape rooms, myself.

Shinobi is a pretty cute name for a Sobble!

And yes, same, I know almost every Pokemon's shiny form. It's a little sad, but also quite impressive. XD I love shiny hunting in Dynamax Adventures in Sword. I have this challenge where I'd like to catch every shiny legendary from it. So far, my list is almost complete. Just missing 6.

BDSP was such a disappointment, for real. But at least I got to shiny hunt Shaymin, Darkrai and Arceus on it. That was probably the only useful thing to come out of those games.

But man, I can't believe your sis prefers the original R/S/E over ORAS! I thought the games were pretty faithful to the originals, with some added extra content. What's not to like? In fact, I think BDSP should've followed ORAS example.

Anywhere! Yes, Legends Arceus was amazing! Which is why I'm so happy we're getting a legends Z-A! The controls definitely throw you off when switching from SwSh or SV, though.

Right now, I'm shiny hunting Articuno. Then there's 5 ultra beasts I'm hunting, if you even count those as legendary. I'd also like to shiny hunt Phione eventually... Oh! I recently got a humungo marked shiny Fraxure, so that was pretty cool! That's the first time I got that mark on a shiny. What's your favorite shiny that you own?

I actually preferred typing on the 3ds compared to the Switch. Because you have to backspace a lot on the Switch, and sometimes the Switch doesn't even type! At least the 3ds let you tap wherever you wanted to type in your response, so you could go back multiple spaces and save time. But I mostly just use my phone to reply on here anymore.

arceus just has weird controls. example: on 3ds you just press A to throw a ball when in your bag.
SWSH i think you just press ZR to throw the last ball used.

its been awile so i dont remeber the exact way in arcues, but i do remember it not a simple one button press kinda thing.

ive been playing a rom hack called pokemon Emerald Seaglass. the creator re-sprited all of hoenn to look like gen two graphics.
i was hesitent on trying it cuz i usually like more advanced graphics. but i saw you can get the shiny charm in the pc in your room you start in, so i had to try it for shiny hunting.

i got my shiny Treecko after about maybe hour of reseting? it was jolly nature too!

The game has the dex nav from ORAS, so ive chained some shinys as well.

i got a shiny female Eevee after a chain of a ninety nine.
Mareep after sixty five.
Sneasel after twenty five wich i was shocked at.
Charmander was my most resent at a hunderd and one

Pokemon follow behind you, so you can see the lil' shiny sprite behind you, so thats cool.

im pretty proud of my Treecko.i not my fave, per sey. but i normaly dont hunt starters so yea.
im doing a shiny badge quest.
So catch a shiny before each badge ^O^

I didn't find my shiny Articuno, but I did find a shiny Buzzwole in DA! I also got shiny Enamorus from my Hisui Pokedex completion in Home! And I'm currently working on shiny Manaphy right now.

Yeah, I just played Legends Arceus again for the first time in a years, and the controls were really hard to adjust to! I forgot how to control some stuff, haha. So, I totally get it now.

Pokemon day is on the 27th of February. It took me a long time to remember it, so no need to feel bad. I think there's one event already planned for that day. And it's a flying tera type Eevee. Very disappointing if so. But I'm sure there'll be many other things planned, most importantly an announcement for Legends Z-A!

That's awesome about your shinies! I've seen a lot of people do a shiny badge quest, so that should be interesting! Congrats on all your shinies, and I wish you the best of luck!

Oh, heavens no, you didn't offend me. I actually hate it too. The only reason I hunted it was because I'm hunting all the Legendaries and Ultra Beasts. I don't like any of the Ultra Beasts, to be honest. Just another reason why gen 7 is my least fave.

Apparently there's a new Pokemon anime coming out the 27th as well. It features Dragonite, which is cool because Dragonite is one of my faves.
