Everybody goes through similar, only slightly different obstacles that you do and will. Don't get mad when people judge you, we all judge, and you do too. You are to strive to set an example for the rest of society, not to lament because you're nervous of their scrutiny.

It is a very true statement. Both are. That's why it's such a shame that most of the times I've heard it in the past, the speaker was trying to prove something else to be true when it wasn't. :(
