I've noticed that the timer doesn't always accurately reflect the time worked on. I think the timer stops if you don't do anything for a certain amount of time. For example, maybe you got distracted for a minute or two, so the timer paused after 10 seconds of inactivity (or something like that). I'm not sure that's actually how it works, but I think that is the case.
