This time I was messing around with semi-transparent layers. Hard to have smooth transition with the side views, but still came out ok.

My top 5 would have to be (in no particular order):
Metroid
Ori
Spelunky
Hollow Knight
Cave Story
Others I would like to include:
Super Mario, Donkey Kong Country, Blazblue Entropy Effect, MegamanX, Yoshi's Island, (and maybe one or two more).
And I have no doubt that there's room to improve 3D diorama art like this, but at this scale, I don't see how anyone could possibly do better. We would need one of this platform's best artists to find some way prove me wrong.

Spelunky stresses me out.
The first three runs I was so confused, and to this day (two years after first run) I still haven't finished. XP
Spelunky 2 was even more baffling.
