Nobody forgot about him, he's just finally ended his game on a perfect cliff-hanger. The previous games ran on hang-over (or Carry-Overs) that turn fake cliff-hangers into real ones for Crash 1 to Crash 2, and Crash 2 to Crash 3,

Er I mean Crash 4 it's about time a proper hang-over storyline after Crash 3, since Activision/Eurocom ruined Wrath of Cortex by not explaining how Cortex and Tropy Escaped, but- what if Uka Uka and Cortex make their way to Wrath of Cortex's timeline and rescued themselves and Uka Uka so that in this dimension N. Tropy never has a chance to betray the two.
Little does he know Cortex is working on a secret weapon. Crunch Bandicoot, an experiment Cortex keeps secret from his boss, Uka Uka.
