why isnt the 9 months youve been in ur mom counted to ur age like i existed 9 months before hand and so in 3 months i should be one year technicaly...right?...
and if ur answer is ''its becauseyour not fully developed'' and i have 2 things to say to that
1. disabled people
2. you stop physically growing normally around 16 - 25 yo and your brain stops developing when you are 25 yo
im also high and stupid...
maybe im just over thinking tho but i need an opinion

im pretty sure your brain does keep developing even after you hit 25 years of age

its not your conception anniversary it's your birthday
the count starts when you become something that's (by scientific definition) independent to any other organism
you cant survive outside the womb at 1 month but if you're removed at 8 months you can
basically you count the years starting the day you're out of your mother's body
it'd be harder to figure out the exact date of conception anyways

tbh i hav3 no clue im just pretty sure it said that on a smoking ad n stuff to be like ''it shrinks the brain and its worst for kids cuz the brain stops developing around 25'' i totally could be wrong tho

i think it means mental and or physical maturity rather than actual full brain development

basically
dependent - needs to leech off of something else to live ie: tapeworms, fetuses (technically)
independent - can survive on its own with its organ systems and stuff
a dependent organism would die if they're removed from their host because their bodies can't support themselves
