Their mistake was making the real world in the movie unaware that the world of Minecraft even exists.
None of the characters were familiar with the concept of Minecraft. It was basically as if they shot a cheap commercial from 1998 that went 700% higher costs than their maximum budget.
Like Pepsi-man.

But yes, good graphics, but if real world people were in minecraft, you would need to remove several in-game crafting elements to make a good film, replacing some of them with real-world building elements.
Live action looks terrible on grid, it's as if they were making a chess movie with real people on an Allspark films animation budget.
