Every medium has limitations: art is all about problem-solving. Style is built from your preferred ways of solving those problems.

As long as your art conveys what you want it to convey and you're satisfied with how it does so, you're doing it right.

I will say, though, it's very freeing to break out of your comfort zone and try to tackle something you wouldn't normally do.

You'll come back to your typical stuff with a fresh outlook!
