Piccolo by Just_Flick

Aw, man, I cannot speak to how much I love this dude. Piccolo is far and away my favourite DBZ character. He's so COOL!!! I'm such a faaaag for Piccolo heheheh. This was based on another drawing I saw, just trying to mimic the colouring/shading style. It doesn't look anything like the original, but I still like it! I'm not super great at capturing Piccolo's likeness, but I'm still having fun! :D

Jeez, I'm so spoiled with layers in drawing software, doing this on the NDS version is a challenge. It's a lot more like painting! Somehow, though, the NDS version had a way better pen selection than the 3DS version of Colors!

Working on getting my switch set up for drawings, so maybe I'll continue posting again!! c:

OOOOH im so glad i checked new scribbles, i love the colors you've chosen and the depth of the shading!! piccolo's one of my favorites in dragon ball so, that's another win too >:] this is especially impressive given the restrictions of the NDS version of colors djdhfgdj, i would struggle with no layers :'D

also, welcome back to colors!! here's a heads up as someone who draws frequently with both the switch and 3DS versions of colors, there are quite a few differences between them regarding some brushes and how they feel to use that can be a little jarring, particularly the soft/airbrush tool has changed (imo downgraded) a lot, just figured i'd let you know since it's something that took me quite a while to get used to and even now i still prefer sketching on my 2ds xl lmao :sob: colors on switch definitely has lots of useful features over colors on 3ds tho!! :eyes:
sorry for the unprompted ramble lol ;v;

@elininjakat Thank you! I figured it'd be different, yeah, haha. Used to draw on iblispaint a lot, and then once again swapped back to a computer (learned Krita!) and really love the learning curve of new software. Learning the NDS version of colors is really fun for all of it's restrictions! >:D It's also just an impressive piece of kit for something from 2007, especially in that it can export way larger, crisper images than the 3ds version!
