Neo and Lowell are two of my OCs who are victims of the same curse, which leads them to immortality, a very broad topic that I really like to reflect on.
After rambling on and on, I have come to the conclusion that this concept raises huge dilemmas about the meaning of life.
Immortality has its ADVANTAGES:
1. Unlimited time to learn, grow and explore new horizons.
2. Cumulative experiences, allowing to develop skills and knowledge unattainable in a finite life.
3. Overcoming the fear of death, immortal people are free from existential anguish.
But if you think about it... it also has DISADVANTAGES:
1. Loss of meaning of life. Without an end, goals and achievements can lose value.
2. Increasing loneliness: seeing loved ones leave from your life repeatedly can be emotionally devastating.
3. Personal stagnation: eternal life could lead to boredom and purposelessness if all that exists has already been explored.
So now I turn to you, the readers: Is immortality a gift or a curse? Could immortality, instead of being a blessing, become an unbearable burden as time goes by?
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

i think that they can both show the factors of pros and cons, Lowell could show/experience the deep devastating factors of immortality, Neo could wonderfully portray the advantages of it, and ofc, use it against him ;0 they both play hand in hand in that matter i feel :sparkles: a constant battle of two unpredictable sides, it's brilliant :heart: :heart:

I believe whether immortality is a blessing or a curse depends on the people who you get to sorround yourself with.

you sound like a real writer

It probably depends on their goal, for instance my oc takes it as a gift because this way she can make sure that she can defeat her enemy, no matter how long it takes.
Awsome picture too!

can they swim in lava without getting hurt?
or walk on the moon with no gear?
or dive to the bottom of the deepest sea?

@alrightymoose
Yes, that's the idea!!! You are pretty wizard at writing too Moose, I'd love read from your guys :^) !!!!
Neo represents all the goodness of this condition: healing and the goodness of life. But Lowell, represents the opposite: the desire to put an end to life, death and destruction. To be antagonists, they must be on the same "level", have the same level of intelligence and power (Lowell is physically stronger than Neo, who has healing powers that Lowell lacks). The key to defeat him is that she must awaken that "gift" that she contains inside her to fight against the "curse" that Lowell sows :0

I totally agree with you guys, it depends of the person who is in that condition. For myself, it would be a terrible curse, for sure!

They could do it, they could swim in lava, walk on the moon without gear, or dive in the depths of the sea... but the fact that they are immortal does not exempt them from suffering pain!
If they swam in lava they would feel the pain of burns and if they walked on the moon or in the deep sea without gear, they would drown again and again!
What a tragically horrible end, right?
Have you ever thought what torture it would be to condemn an immortal to be thrown to the bottom of the sea with a weight tied on his leg? Omg

I figured that would happen, but would the water presher shrink them?

@AyceEternal
I suppose so, they would shrink inward like a turd LMAO
But when returning to normal conditions, I'd say they would recover as their bodies regenerate :0
