The personality portion of the description had me a little bit confused at first, but it seems to me that his personality is as follows:
Always tired/drowsy, hot tempered and quick to anger, yet kind hearted and often resentful of his own temper, bears the strength of a beast, yet gentle enough not to harm a child.
Does that sound correct?

kind of. Hes unintentionally rude, like he makes rude comments meaning well, but usually angering creatures around him

Okay, so he's more like Hector from Fire Emblem, or Kratos from God of War, in how he treats his son Atreus. A bit brash or abrasive, but not to be rude or spiteful. It's just how he was raised, either by environment, or for survival. A sort of "don't BE sorry, BE better" attitude.
