This will be basing on the scars lol :
What if they were born into a clan, but was stolen (u choose who/what stole them lol). Eventually someone found them, but they were scared and cold. So leopard got brought back. (truama hehe). When they became a warrior, a group of rouges (of a fox idk) attacked, and thats how they got there scars.

Soon after when they became a warrior, a owl came by, it started stealing prey. They attacked the owl, and it gave leopard her scars.
