not long after my last drawing i got the call that my grandpa passed. he hadn't been able to remember me or anyone else in years. but he gave me something more important than he'll ever know. he gave me my name. not intentionally, it was just his nickname for me as a kid. but it stuck, and now it's my chosen name. i can't imagine where i'd be right now without that. that one name has meant so much to my life. he'll live on through that in my heart and mind.
