Serial numbered as DWN-055 Shade Man is a robot master built to look like a vampire.

He originally was an attraction robot from the haunted house of an amusement park, but was stolen & modified for combat by Dr. Wily. Wily installed sound wave equipment intended to control human minds, but due to a wiring error, it instead generated powerful destructive sound waves that are used as a Special Weapon called Noise Crush.

Shade Man has a dandy personality and appearance. He likes dark places & hanging on ceilings like a bat. Even though he's based on a vampire, he fears ghosts & spiders. He does not tolerate lazy employees. He wants to be a singer, but he has a terrible voice. He always has a microphone with him so he can practice his singing, which can sometimes get in the way of his work. In the tradition of real vampires drinking the blood of their victims, Shade Man drinks oil out of robots caught in his grasp, which heals him. Shade Man also enjoys drinking tomato juice in his spare time, which can easily be mistaken for blood, & as one might expect, he dislikes garlic.
