My inner-child is crying. . . . by Lexiplexi27

(Jul14) 7:38pm So this is the vent piece. I was a tall kid, but I've loved CB ever since I was so young, so I imagine my inner child to be pretty small. Not too small, but whateves. Anyways, if you ever feel the same way sometimes, feel free to like it. I'm allowing peeps todo that for this one.
Continuing in the comments, feel free to vent along with me, idk...

Ik that most people don't go so hard when making vent art, but since Ik I'll be feeling this way again and again throughout my life, I might as well just make it now and come back to it whenever the feeling arises.
(I plan on typing and explaining about these feelings of mine, even tho I'm not as sad as I was when I first started this piece, but I also haven't slept yet, so I'll have to write out all of my feelings about this later on, so yeah, good morning, LoL.)

Okay, where do I begin?. . .
Well, I'm aware that I'm getting older, and my tastes have changed cuz I like shows like HH/HB, but that hasn't stopped me from coming back to Care Bears every now and again throughout my life. I get that to a lot of people, it's something I should've grown out of a long time ago, but in a world where its cool not to care about things, I couldn't help myself. But it also seems unfair when you look at other things and franchises made "for kids" and its normal for -

- normal for adults to indulge in those things, as well.
It makes me happy seeing videos of people talking in-depth about other various childhood media, but for the most part, unless you're a typical Marvel/DC fan, you're pretty much screwed. Now dgmw, I like those things, too but,... like,... okay so, analogy time: Imagine your favorite franchise (or even simply, a part of the whole) as a buffet of content. Let's start with Spider-Man. . .

(I meant to come back to this sooner, but life stuff happened so yeah, haha LoL.)
So lemme quickly preface this by saying that I like Spider-man, what he stands for, as well as the reason why he's Stan Lee's favorite Superhero out of all the ones he's made before and after. (R.I.P. old man, you made so many parts of our childhoods)
Now, a banquet hall for Spider-man will be quite FREAKISHLY HUMONGOUS to say the LEAST!!!!

The table is extremely loooooong and there's tons and tons of food on it. enough to last a village for DECADES and there's always more being added to it. More than whatever can be consumed, that is.
The walls are covered in a huge and amazing mural the stretches throughout the whole hall. Oh! But you can't even SEE the mural for all its glory. . . Why? Because of all the many posters and memorabilia lining those same walls, of course! So many things,. . . . .

Lexiplexi27

So many costumes and comics and set pieces and VHSs/DVDs and other such things throughout the years... Everything holds a special memory.... Everything... tells a story... And when you sit down to eat your Spider-man-themed food,... Well, let's just say you won't just be having it for dinner, oh no. :relieved: You can come over and eat at any time of the day that you wish.
There is Spider-man breakfast, S-m lunch, S-m dinner, n snacks galore to munch on in-between.

You can get your fill and come on back for seconds. Thirds, even. Fourths and so on...
If there's something on the menu that you don't want, don't worry! Someone will make something that you can munch on. Eventually...
And you can even say the same for most of all the other popular Marvel/DC characters you can think of.
And if that's just Spider-man, what would a Care Bears banquet look like?

Well to start, you can already see the back wall. It'll look blurry at first, but walk a few steps inside and you'll already see the doors attached to it for the people working there to come in-n-out through. May not be a good sign, but at least you're not worried about anybody having to walk too far if they had to in the other hall, right? The room isn't as decorated and most of the memorabilia is just plushies, VHSs, n DVDs of their old series, I guess. You sit down to eat, n (now this part is

You sit down to eat, and (now this now this part is more akin to MY experience, but don't be nervous about saying that you may have had a similar one, yourself, alright?) you're given a small portion. You eat it, and its fine. Not as sugary sweet as it may appear, but it's alright. You ask for more, but u can't get any or get just a little again, probably less. You try 2reach 4more, but u can't get any. You eventually leave unsatisfied, thinking that u may get more next time if u come back l8r.

You come back again and it's the same thing. A little bit each time. Other franchise foods become easier to obtain, even if it's not through the intended means like an online Robin Hood. But it seems as if the Robin Hoods of the Internet have their own preferences when it comes to bringing food to those who can't make they're way to the banquet as although their so-called motto is to copy everything in the name of archival and such, it's clear that not everything is here!!!

Though, it seems that the Care Bears Banquet hall has grown a bit in recent years. They're doing collabs now!!! Collabs you could only dream of. Collabs you've never imagined! But, you're older now. People expect you to be a certain way. Even when you now in your heart and mind,... nay, your very SOUL that they're enticing you, saying that they indeed ARE trying to sell to the adults who grew up w/ them w/out them truly needing to say it, society tells you otherwise. Your own family tells you ot

Your own family tells you otherwise (No hate towards them, they do mean well and some of them understand).
My family didn't always have enough money to get us things we wanted growing up, and I usually-always felt nervous to ask, even if I really wanted something for myself. I've been slowly getting over it lately, but it's still mostly there. And my brother has especially had this issue with me the most. He's younger than me so he expects me to be more grown than he is. (He's def alot more-

(He's definitely a lot more American than I am, that's for sure... :laughing_with_tears:) [not every emoji name works, but you get it.] I still luv 'im enough and yesterday we had a nice moment where he enjoyed how well I managed to fit his office's flag on a coin. My parents got me a new sketchbook and I made a variety and he chose 1 that he loves n it filled me with relief :relieved:. I may end up using the new sketchbook later for more things beyond that, but that's what it was needed for 1st

But anyways, yeah, back to the main thing, I hope I manage to get either that cap or something todo with the collab. Even if it's over already, it's arrival felt too late to show up for me. I am absolutely happy and grateful to see more kids with Care Bears merch and things, even if it has mainly been those clear backpacks so far, it's enough to start the healing. But even though I wanna be a mother myself 1day, n icould be a fun aunt to all my new nieces+nephews, I'm like, 'why should I wait?'.

Lexiplexi27

18 Aug, 2024, 4:54 am

Why should I wait to have kids to enjoy some of the things I should have 'outgrown'? Y'all know what I mean?
And What's worse is that I've been feeling like I shouldn't watch 'this' or 'that' on certain shows, even when I'm alone, which is a lot, but I've been getting over that by telling myself that I'm reviewing it for my future child. Which is true cuz although I've seen enough love n reviews4 Bluey online, I decided 2finally give it a shot myself n it was so lovely, adorable, fun,n sweet!

A couple days ago, I remembered Doggyland from the rapper Snoop Dogg and at first glance, it looks like those poorly 3D animated schlop for babies like Cocomelon, but I'll tell you this rn, if I had to choose between Cocomelon and Doggyland for my baby to watch, I'd go with Doggyland in a heartbeat cuz at least they know how to rhyme PROPERLY when singing. (I've been thinking of making a different picture to write all this under, but I seemed to have gotten carried away again, I'm sorry, LoL gn.

Hi there @4idre , you don't need to read all of what's written above, but I noticed that you had liked it a while ago and I just wanted to say that I'm done venting and ranting for the most part so if you'd like to add your own vents or rants to this, you're free to do so whenever you'd like to, ok?

I'm just a fan of things that represent inner beauty, or whatever can bring out your positive best self!
Yea, I liked this art, because I think it's good! Like composition-wise I like the character placements that make it look like a dream.

I read the first few. Yet... But the idea of falling out of love for something, seems foreign to me. The idea of alienating from what your like just doesn't feel like something I'd do personally. Even if it is considered "childish", who's going to stop me? Me? Am I my biggest enemy?

Aidre

18 Aug, 2024, 9:55 am

But I'm not too worried right now how others look at me, I'm gonna focus on what I like doing (art, glamorising, stuff ect.) for now!

@4idre Yeee!!! Thank you for understanding and for being you!!!! Don't let anyone stop you from enjoying the things like this that you love so much!!! :hugging: :people_hugging:
