It took me a bit of study between real world reptiles and fictional dragons to figure out their toes/fingers and claws. I find that there's a bit of a bottle or flask shape to their appendages, where they get a bit thicker closer to the tip.

I tried to look at my gecko's toes to get a better understanding of dragon talons cuz thats mainly what I draw. But my gecko has some wonky toes, lol.
