I know what you're talking about. The proportions are just a bit off, but that doesn't really matter too much. The fact that you know where you can improve tells me you will have it all figured out in time.
What impressed me was the composition. The way she stands out over the backdrop, the use of screen real estate, and the colors and patern used look simply pleasant.
