I usually prefer to discourage people changing their username whenever it's not needed. It can be confusing, making it difficult to know who is who, it messes with @tags whenever someone wants to tag you or give you a shou-out, it shows low stability in one's dentity, and likely a host of other challenges, depending on who you ask. Whatever you choose to go with, make sure it is one you can live with.
